The compact shape is nice because my utensil drawer is already crowded. It chops garlic directly into the bowl, so I can scoop out what I need without making another dish dirty. Sometimes a little garlic stays in the grid, though it comes out with a quick rinse.

The metal cutting grid feels useful for getting the garlic into small chunks without much chopping. I press down slowly rather than forcing it all at once, which seems to work better. Afterward I rinse the removable pieces before the garlic residue gets sticky.

tbh I expected this to be one of those gadgets I would use once and forget. It actually comes in handy whenever a recipe calls for several cloves because I can process them quickly one after another. The compact size also makes it easy to keep close by while cooking.

Works best when I don't overload it.
